Transfer Seminars are designed for students who have spent at least one term at another institution of higher education after high school graduation. These seminars give students the chance to explore either their major or other disciplines of study. Small groups of transfer students meet weekly with an instructor and an advanced undergraduate TA. Students learn how to navigate the resources on campus, including financial aid, internships, study abroad and career opportunities. Each seminar is one upper-division credit. Transfer seminars are offered primarily during fall term, but some seminars may be also offered during winter term (See Winter Transfer Seminars for more information). Transfer students can register for a seminar after meeting with an Academic Adviser during July IntroDUCKtion, or during Week of Welcome or May Transfer Day: MAY PROGRAM--TRANSFER STUDENTS ADMITTED FOR FALL or SUMMER 2008
For further questions regarding the eligibility requirements for the May program, please contact the Office of Admissions. If you cannot attend the program in May, you may sign up for IntroDUCKtion or attend Week of Welcome in September. See Student Orientation "Mid-Year Orientation" for additional information.
